FIRST Rise 2020

Throughout history, great civilizations have risen, then fallen. Now it’s our turn to rise—building and bolstering our own planetary metropolis.

This 2019-2020 season, FIRST RISE, powered by Star Wars: Force for Change, is setting out to inspire citizens of the galaxy to work together, strengthening and protecting the Force that binds us and creating a place where collaboration and collective wisdom can elevate new ideas and foster growth.

In INFINITE RECHARGE, two alliances work to protect FIRST City from approaching asteroids caused by a distant space skirmish. Each Alliance, along with their trusty droids, race to collect and score Power Cells in order to energize their Shield Generator for maximum protection. To activate stages of the Shield Generator, droids manipulate their Control Panels after scoring a specific number of Power Cells. Near the end of the match, droids race to their Rendezvous Point to get their Shield Generator operational in order to protect the city!

A few words about us

                                                  Our Mission

Our mission is to motivate students to take advantage of the opportunities that other schools might not have and augment their capabilities in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields, as well as build other essential life skills required in the engineering career such as teamwork and dedication.

                                            About the Team

Redstone Robotics is a FIRST Robotics Competition team located at Lee High School and New Century Tech High school. We started in 2000 and are the only team in Huntsville city that is open to students from the community. We currently consist of 15 students and 4 mentors. FRC team 442 has competed in almost every FRC season since 2000. We have won several awards which include the 2000 National Championship Autodesk judges high score award and Peachtree Regional Finalist. For the first time in almost 20 years, our students attended the 2019 FIRST World Championship in Houston, TX.

We need your help to keep our team going and help it go further.

Funding an FRC team year-round is a costly endeavor. We need your help to buy materials, pay competition entry fees, buy team t-shirts, build a practice field, and many other things. To compete this upcoming 2019-2020 season we need to raise at least $20,000.  It’s because of our kind sponsors that we are able compete in FRC year to year. Any donation you can contribute will help us meet our team goals.

We are also looking to start a VEX robotics competition team, so our members will have something to work on over summer. materials to start VEX Robotics Competition team are approximately $3000. Any donation is greatly appreciated.

Any sponsor we get will receive the following,

  1. Your company logo on competition robot.
  2. Your company logo on team shirts.
  3. Your company logo on banner in the pit.
  4. Thank you, letter.
